House Tour - Part 2

We had the first floor of the house painted so now our furniture looks like it belongs here rather than is just being temporarily stored in someone else's house. I love Benjamin Moore paint so the Living Room and Dining Room are Chestertown Buff, the Kitchen and Breakfast Room are Audubon Russet, the Family Room and upstairs hallway are Greenbrier Beige and the Master Bedroom is Maryville Brown. All the colors are from their Historical Colors line.

The Chestertown Buff color is magical - in some lights it's quite yellow/goldish. In other lights it's very neutral. On the walls where the buff and the beige adjoin, in some lights, they look the same.

The Greenbrier beige brings out the subtle color in our "fossil fish" stone fireplace. I had originally selected a different beige, but when I tried the patch on the wall, it looked white.

The Maryville Brown is a rich, warm brown which I want to brighten with pops of color in pictures and pillows and lamp shades - I'm still working on that. I originally picked this fabric for curtains.  It's a Liz Claiborne, but I'm afraid I would tire of it very quickly.
So that's still a work in progress.
